They will help you determine whether an in-person or telehealth consultation is better for you, and help you through the process. Both types of consultations provide a one-on-one appointment with a board-certified radiation oncologist to talk about your diagnosis, answer questions, review treatment options and discuss your next steps.

Telehealth and telemedicine are broad terms that involve healthcare providers giving real-time (live) clinical services to patients through a “virtual visit” instead of in-person. A telehealth consultation allows you to remain at home and speak directly to a physician through a video connection about your diagnosis, treatment options and next steps. When you call and speak to a Cancer Care Expert, they will help guide you through our simple telehealth process.

Ultimately, the decision is up to you and the physician. Either option provides a one-on-one appointment with one of our board-certified radiation oncologists. Your telehealth consultation will provide the same personal attention as an in-person visit with a physician. Prior to your appointment, our physicians will review your case and your records. Once the consultation begins, you and the physician will be able to see each other on the screen of your smartphone, tablet or computer in real-time, as if you were in the same room.
